Robert Hightower, William Billy Claiborne, and Pedro Pete Montoya are three outlaws on a mission to rob a bank in the town of Welcome, Arizona
After the robbery, they make their escape on horseback, but are pursued by law enforcement
What did the three outlaws do after they robbed the bank? On horseback, they made their escape, but they were pursued by law enforcement. How did they manage to evade capture? Were they really that good at eluding their pursuers? No matter how much of a head start they had, it seemed inevitable that they would eventually be caught. But somehow, they managed to stay one step ahead of the law and make it safely to their destination.
When they come across a woman dying in the desert, the outlaws make a promise to take care of her newborn baby and deliver it to safety
But what happens when they come across a woman dying in the desert? The outlaws make a promise to take care of her newborn baby and deliver it to safety, the narrator asked. We cant just leave her here, Robert said. We have to promise to take care of the baby, Peter added. Well keep our promise no matter what, William declared. And so, the three outlaws vowed to protect the newborn from the harsh desert wilderness and deliver it to safety. It was a promise that would test their loyalty and courage.
The three outlaws come to the realization that they might be the only ones who can save the baby
So, what are we going to do about the baby? Robert Hightower, one of the three outlaws, asked. The other two, William Bill Kelso and Pedro Pete Ríos, looked at each other, realizing the gravity of their situation. They were on the run from the law, but now had a greater responsibility.
We cant just leave it here, Bill suggested.
Maybe were the only ones who can save it, Pete added.
The three of them stared at the small bundle of blanket in front of them, and came to the realization that they may actually be the only ones who could care for the helpless baby. It was a burden they had not expected, but one they were willing to take on.
They decide to make the perilous journey across the desert to deliver the baby to a nearby mission
Along the way, they face many obstacles, including a band of Native Americans, a sandstorm, and lack of food and water
The three outlaws eventually make it to the mission, but are met with suspicion from the religious leaders
What kind of men are these, showing up at our mission in the middle of the night?, the three religious leaders must have wondered, as they eyed the three outlaws standing before them in 3 Godfathers (1948). After a long journey through the desert, Robert, Peter and William had finally made it to the mission, but were met with suspicion. Were these criminals really here to seek redemption? It was hard to tell, but the leaders had to make a tough decision; should they trust these men, or send them away?
After a series of events, the outlaws are finally able to prove their innocence and are accepted by the mission
The three outlaws are ultimately redeemed by their good deed and are hailed as heroes
What kind of heroes can three outlaws be? Thats the question were asking when it comes to 3 Godfathers (1948). The three outlaws, William Billy Buck, Pedro Pete and Robert Bob set out on a mission to save an abandoned baby, and in doing so they are ultimately redeemed and hailed as heroes. But how did they go from outlaws to heroes? Its a testament to the power of one small act of kindness. By saving the baby and taking it to a safe place, they are able to redeem the wrongs of their past and become heroes in the eyes of those around them.
