Plot Summary
Bad News Bears (2005) is a remake of the 1976 classic. It follows the same plot of a group of misfit kids playing Little League baseball, but with a modern twist.
The movie follows Morris Buttermaker, an aging, washed-up former minor league baseball player turned pool cleaner, who is recruited to coach an underdog Little League team. Buttermaker finds himself at the helm of a ragtag group of players who are out of shape and lack any knowledge of the game.
Buttermaker tries to whip the team into shape, and soon they start to win games. Along the way, they face off against their rivals, the cougars, and their smug coach, Roy Turner. In the end, its a battle between the Bears and the Cougars to win the championship.
